Kim Grant
Kim Grant is a therapeutic nature photographer, specialising in combining photography with mindfulness practice. Through her work, she encourages people to slow down and use their senses to connect more deeply with the world around them. She is an advocate for using photography as a tool for self-expression and as an opportunity to explore the human condition through emotion and imagination.
Kim embarked on her photographic journey at the age of 16 during a challenging period of mental health. She turned to photography as a means of solace and escape, finding it incredibly healing and sparking a transformative journey of self-discovery.
Kim has a very deep connection with nature. She weaves the healing benefits of nature into her photography, sharing how spending time in nature with our cameras can help us heal, grow, and flourish.
Kim started her career as a nurse, working in orthopaedics and medicine in the NHS before embarking on a one-year voluntary practical internship with the RSPB. Kim has always been drawn to supporting and guiding others on their journey. Inspired by her wellness journey and work experience, she felt called to incorporate this into her photographic offerings, leading to the birth of Photographic Connection.
