Terms of Booking
RETREATS / WORKSHOPS (Residential)
By booking a residential retreat/workshop through this website, you agree to abide by the terms of booking.
Payment
A 25% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking.
The remaining balance is due 6 weeks before the retreat commencement date.
If a booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to the commencement date, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

Cancellation Policy
Should your circumstances change and you need to cancel your place, all cancellations must be made in writing via email.
As noted above, deposits are non-refundable. Should you pay your outstanding balance earlier than 6 weeks before the retreat commence date, you will be entitled to a refund, minus the non-refundable deposit. All payments made 6 weeks or less before the retreat commence date will NOT be entitled to a refund.
We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance in place to cover all eventualities in which you may be unable to join us. Photographic Connections with Kim Grant has a very strict cancellation policy. The cancellation policy applies regardless of circumstance.
Cancellation on Our Part
If a retreat leader is unable to attend due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances, the retreat will need to be cancelled. Should this happen, you will be refunded the money you have paid. We cannot be held responsible for other costs, such as travel bookings or incidentals. It is strongly recommended that you have insurance in place to cover this.
A minimum number of bookings is required to run a retreat. If this number is not met, we may need to cancel the retreat. Should this occur, we will do so no less than 14 days before the commencement.
Travel Arrangements
You are responsible for arranging your travel to and from the retreat. Please do not make any travel arrangements or bookings until we have confirmed your retreat place. We will not be liable for any travel costs incurred. All travel bookings, including flights, trains, buses, fuel costs, and anything else are your responsibility.
Equipment and Personal Belongings
Everything you take to the retreat including personal luggage, belongings and camera equipment, is your responsibility to look after. We will not accept liability for loss or damage to any of your personal belongings or equipment. Should this be of concern you may wish to consider covering your personal belongings with travel and/or camera insurance.
The weather in Scotland can be changeable and unpredictable. It is your responsibility to ensure you come to the retreat with adequate clothing and footwear to accommodate the changable outdoor weather.
Exceptional Circumstances
We cannot be held liable for situations beyond our control, including (but not limited to) acts of war, acts of God, threats or acts of terrorism, civil unrest or unforeseen personal circumstances. While the retreat has been designed to maintain your wellbeing your attendance is at your own risk. We cannot be liable for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the retreat.
Dietary Requirements
If you have special dietary or other requests, you should inform us prior to the retreat's commencement. Every effort will be made to accommodate your needs. However, we cannot guarantee these can be met.
Itinerary
The outlined itinerary and description are an indication of what may take place on the retreat. While every effort will be made to adhere to this, it may need to be altered to accommodate the weather, participants' needs, and any other unforeseen circumstances. We cannot be held responsible should the itinerary need to be altered or changed in any way.
By making a booking, you are agreeing to accept all the above conditions. Any person making a booking does so on behalf of all the individuals included in it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions.
